Introduction

RM Education, founded in 1973. offers a complete ICT solution to the educational market, covering all aspects such as hardware, software, management, etc.

RM Education has 6 offices in the UK and offices in India, USA and Australia.

RM Education is part of the RM Group, which also incorporates the companies 3T Productions, Softease, Helicon, Forvus, Sentinel Products and Technology Teaching Systems.

RM Education realised the importance of Offshoring and did a study to compare different Offshore locations. On deciding that India was the final location RM Education ordered a detailed location study.

The strategic concerns for Offshoring were to attain lower operational cost and the availability of highly skilled personnel to carry out long term projects and product enhancements for the RM group of companies.

RM Education realised that Offshoring would positively influence their shareholders and improve their market cap.

 

Requirements

RM Education wanted to start with a team of 30 to 50 persons. Now they employ over 600 persons. The startup of the Offshore Development Centre was done in such a way to minimise the risk and maximise the advantages to the RM group of companies.

Since RM Education had chosen Trivandrum as a location, the Technopark was the best choice for RM to be.
